The Alameda North Valley Association has lost a very important part of our organization. Jeff Potter, longtime board member died in December after a long battle with brain cancer.
In addition to being an ANVA Board Member, Jeff is a founder of the Alameda Studio Tour and has worked hard over the years to give artists living in Alameda a way to show their art to the community.
Jeff had a long career at the University of New Mexico Cancer Center where he was a research scientist. When he retired in 2006 he turned his attention full time to art where he shared his special vision of southwest landscapes at art shows throughout the region.
Jeff left a hole in our hearts and in ANVA where he worked hard, managing the ANVA website and putting together the ANVA newsletter for years. Jeff created the beautiful images on the ANVA web page and we will miss him greatly.
