New Mexico State Senator Bill O’Neill and State Representative Day Hochman-Vigil have been invited to speak at the next meeting of the Alameda North Valley Association on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 7 p.m. at the Raymond G. Sanchez Community Center.
Our legislators will tell us about what we can expect during the legislative session. This year lawmakers will focus on passing a state budget and will determine how much capital outlay money might be available for specific projects such as repair or renovation of the community center.
We heard there are number of good bills being brought forth by our local legislators. Will there be enough time for the important issues and will funding be available for real priorities?
Will the Legislature try to take steps to create a stable revenue stream for state government or will the feast or famine cycle continue?
Do you know what the priorities for Bernalillo County are?
This is your opportunity to meet and speak with your local legislator about any issues of concern you might have. Please join us for this neighborhood discussion of local issues and please share this information with your neighbors.
We will see you at the meeting!
