Bernalillo County is planning a meeting on Tuesday, July 27 at the Bachechi Open Space (9521 Rio Grande Blvd) at 6 p.m. to discuss a new trail through the county. This trail would honor the El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, the historic road from Mexico City, Mexico into northern New Mexico.
The meeting will allow public input on preserving and highlighting the trail. It will feature presentations on possible trail alignments and historic properties. It is also a little confusing since the National Park Service has designated Edith Blvd. as the El Camino Real – at least they have posted signs along Edith to that effect.
If you want to know more, here’s the website the county has established for this project.
Please consider coming to the meeting to hear what the county is planning.
